FAQs – Tammy Shoup, Executive Director
and Head Writer
What are your
qualifications to write my resume?
T.K. Shoup, Executive Director and Head Writer is among a small number of professional resume writers
in the country who has earned the title of Certified Professional Résumé
Writer from the Professional Association of Résumé Writers. Shoup is also a member of the National Résumé Writers'
Association. Membership and activity in both organizations ensures that
Breakthrough Resumes has up-to-date knowledge of current industry and
employment trends and also serves as just one example of the company's
dedication to continuing education in the employment industry.
How does the
process begin?
This simple and painless process begins via a consultation that lets you
know which type of service would work best for you via a free review of
your existing document. If you don't have a resume, you will complete a
comprehensive Resume Development Worksheet. Either way, I go beyond
gathering facts and figures and infuse your new document with your
personality and energy!
How long does the
writing process take?
The process usually takes 72 business hours but can take much longer if you
do not respond quickly to my emails. Almost all projects are completed
within three to five days.
Need your resume sooner? I also offer a Rush service for those clients who
have unexpected opportunities to present their credentials to hiring authorities.
In just 12 business hours, you could have your new resume in hand and begin
posting on job boards. Call or email for more information regarding this
service.
How will I
receive my resume?
You will receive your resume as an e-mail attachment in Windows MS Word and
a complimentary and, upon request, an ASCII text version of your resume for
use in applying for jobs over the Internet. (Many firms charge an
additional $50 or more for this service.)
What is an ASCII
text resume?
ASCII resumes have all of the formatting removed from them so that they can
be pasted into resume databanks and email messages without becoming a
jumbled mess of disorganized text and symbols.
What do you do
with the personal information I give to you?
I do not sell or give any of your personal information to outside
organizations or third parties. All work papers used while preparing your
documents are shredded and the electronic files are stored for 6 months and
then deleted.
How is payment
made?
Payment is
normally made by Visa or MasterCard via an online, secure server. I use the
leading provider in secure, online payments Paypal.com (used by companies
such as Dell, PetSmart, Starbucks, iTunes) and I
will send you a work order agreement my email. It's free to you and you can
be sure that your information is safe when paying directly using any credit
card. (Because of the time invested in interviewing and writing your
resume, we require payment in advance of starting work.)
What if I have
other questions?
Please by email at AWORDPRO@AOL.COM
with any other questions you may have.
I look forward to working with you as you begin your new journey!
